Within the framework of its participation in a academic conference held at the University of Michigan<\/strong>the Rector of the Al-Andalusia Islamic University of Spain<\/strong>, Sh. Mohammad Idrissi<\/strong>was invited to visit the campus of the Miftah Institute<\/strong>one of the leading institutions in the United States in the field of training and accompaniment of the Muslim community<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Sharing experiences from different contexts<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The visit provided a first-hand look at the Miftah Institute's educational project<\/strong> and its focus on teaching of Islamic sciences in the North American context<\/strong>. The meeting took place in a close and cordial environment<\/strong>The project was designed to promote the exchange of experiences among institutions that, although located in different countries, are different geographical and social realities<\/strong>share a common concern: to offer a solid Islamic education, aware of the environment and committed to the community.<\/strong>.\"\"<\/p>\n

During the conversation, issues related to the teaching<\/strong>the training of community leaders<\/strong> and the design of academic programs<\/strong> able to respond to the current challenges<\/strong> facing Muslim communities in the West.<\/p>\n

Building bridges, opening roads<\/strong><\/h4>\n

In addition to the specific aspects discussed, the meeting served to identify affinities in the understanding of Islamic education<\/strong>education that combines academic rigor<\/strong>, balance<\/strong> and a deep attention to the social context<\/strong> in which it is developed.<\/p>\n

The visit left open possible avenues of collaboration<\/strong> that can be progressively explored in the future. These types of meetings reinforce the importance of creating spaces of trust between institutions<\/strong>where dialogue and mutual understanding lay the groundwork for shared projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
