Seville, April 21, 2025<\/strong> - The Islamic University of Spain Al-Andalusia, through its rector, Sh. Mohammad Idrissi Alcaraz, has issued an official statement expressing its sincere condolences to the Catholic Church and the entire Catholic community in Spain and the world, on the occasion of the passing of His Holiness the Pope.<\/p>\n

In the message, the University highlighted the figure of the Pope as a spiritual reference who was able to raise his voice for the justice, human dignity and peace<\/strong>He left an indelible legacy through his strong defense of the rights of the oppressed and his clear position in favor of the Palestinian people and the end of the genocide in Gaza.<\/p>\n

In a European context increasingly marked by Islamophobia, the communiqu\u00e9 highlights the role of the Pope in the interreligious dialogue<\/strong>His closeness to the most vulnerable and his constant call for peace and justice.<\/p>\n
