The University distinguishes between academic accreditation of acquired knowledge and certification of suitability to assume responsibilities for religious leadership and community service.<\/p>\n<p>The evaluation is comprehensive in nature and includes written, oral, and practical exams designed to assess proficiency in Islamic sciences, applied fiqh, recitation, and tajweed of the Qur\u2019an, communication and teaching skills, ethical maturity, pastoral sensitivity, and commitment to institutional principles.<\/p>\n<h2>How to Obtain the Iy\u00e1zah<\/h2>\n<p>The awarding of the Iy\u00e1zah follows a process that differs from that of the bachelor's degree and consists of the following stages:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Completion of the Bachelor's Degree<\/strong> in Islamic Sciences and Theology, having successfully completed all courses, practical training, and academic requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Formal Request<\/strong> access to the Comprehensive Final Assessment for the Iy\u00e1zah, within the deadline set by the University.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Passing the Comprehensive Final Exam<\/strong>, which includes a written exam in Islamic Studies, a specific exam on applied fiqh, an oral exam on the Qur\u2019an, tajweed, and memorization, a practical exam on religious communication, an assessment of pastoral, ethical, and community skills, and a final interview to assess suitability.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Express Acceptance of the Code of Ethics for the Imam and the Murshidah<\/strong> and the educational, pastoral, and institutional commitments associated with the Iy\u00e1zah.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Court Ruling<\/strong> appointed by the University, who may grant the Iy\u00e1zah (with or without academic recommendations), defer it subject to additional requirements, or declare the candidate ineligible at that time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Issuance of the Iy\u00e1zah Document<\/strong> by the University's competent authority and inclusion in the monitoring and continuing education system.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Iy\u00e1zah is granted with a <strong>conditional validity<\/strong>: It remains active as long as the holder completes the required continuing education, adheres to the Code of Ethics, and cooperates with the institutional monitoring established by the University.<\/p>\n<h2>Requirements for Taking the Iy\u00e1zah Final Exam<\/h2>\n<p>Admission to the Final Exam is neither automatic nor purely administrative. The University may require, among other things, the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Completion of the Bachelor's Degree in Islamic Sciences and Theology<\/strong>, having successfully completed all required courses and activities.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sufficient academic record<\/strong>, especially in subjects directly related to the Imamate and Irsh\u0101d (fiqh, usul al-fiqh, the Qur\u2019an, tajweed, tafsir, hadith, aqidah, sirah, tazkiyah, the Arabic language, and Islamic ethics).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Minimum proficiency in the Qur\u2019an, tajweed, and memorization<\/strong>, certified prior to the evaluation.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Completion of training exercises or activities<\/strong> that demonstrate actual involvement in community service settings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Absence of serious disciplinary issues<\/strong> incompatible with the religious responsibility one intends to assume.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Acceptance of the Code of Ethics<\/strong> of the Imam and the Murshidah, and of the institutional obligations associated with the Iy\u00e1zah.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Formal Request for Access to the Evaluation<\/strong>, along with the documentation specified in each call for applications.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Preliminary Report from the Teaching Team<\/strong>, as a guide for the student's academic path.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Possibility of Additional Requirements<\/strong> (reinforcement of tajweed, expansion of memorization, additional training in applied fiqh or aqidah, supervised practice, etc.) when there are deficiencies that can be remedied.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Principle of Institutional Accountability<\/strong>: The University only admits to the evaluation process those who demonstrate sufficient prior preparation and an attitude consistent with religious service.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2>A trust, not an automatic process<\/h2>\n<p>The Iy\u00e1zah should not be understood as a mere certificate of attendance or as an automatic consequence of completing the bachelor\u2019s degree.
